As a (re)search photographer and storyteller, my work revolves around myths, mysteries, and the unseen. Growing up in a family deeply rooted in rituals, religion, magic, and ghost stories, I was always left wondering if there’s more to life than what we can see. My creative process blends visual, written, and site-specific research, collecting evidence to weave a new, poetic narrative that bridges the gap between myself and the unseen.

Driven by a sense of melancholy, I search for the hidden magic in everyday life, while exploring the urgency of rediscovering forgotten memories and heritage. The projects come together in a detective-like way—mixing archival research, collecting objects, and manipulating images across different media to challenge our collective memory. The stories touch on themes like the (super)natural, mysticism, feminism, intangible heritage, family, death, memory, and the past.

By exploring the space between fiction and reality, I aim to spark curiosity and understanding, without losing that sense of childlike wonder. Essentially, these themes are a way to explore my own place in the world, I sometimes struggle with finding.

In 2023, I graduated with a bachelor's degree in photography from the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. Since then I have had the opportunity to exhibit my work in various places.
